Admissions Process

Choosing the right school is an important decision, and we want to get to know you and your child to ensure Ashbrook is the right fit. We accept applications year-round and would love to explore how our community can support your child’s growth and success.

Tours are hosted by the Assistant Head of School or a member of the Admissions Team and are catered to your student’s specific grade level.

After you’ve completed your tour, begin the application process in the Admissions Parent Account page. Once one the page, click the “Create an Account“. From there, you will be instructed to create a login, password, and verify your email via a message to your email account.

Students must be the age required for the grade level by September 1st of the school year they are applying.

You have the flexibility to log in and out of your application account without losing your data as it will autosave. There will be a green check mark for each section once you have completed all required fields.

Complete our Online Admissions Application to signal that your intent is to pursue admissions for your student(s) attending Ashbrook. (Our Online Admissions Application is for new student applications only, so if your child is already attending or admitted to Ashbrook please contact the main office for
enrollment information.) Once all required fields of the application are complete, you must select “Review & Submit.” You will then be instructed to pay the $75 application fee via credit card.

Please be sure that all required documents are provided to the admissions office:

  • Teacher Recommendation, Preschool – 4th grade
  • Math Teacher Recommendation, 5th – 8th grade
  • ELA/Literacy Teacher Recommendation, 5th – 8th grade
  • Self Recommendation, 5th – 8th grade

An Admissions Visit is a time for the Ashbrook staff to meet a prospective student and family to learn more about a student’s academic, behavioral and social/emotional skills and knowledge. This visit also allows parents to ask more in-depth questions about the school’s programs and curriculum.

For students incoming to Preschool through first grade, the Admissions Visit typically takes place after school and lasts about 30-45 minutes. Staff will have the prospective student complete activities and ask questions to the parents about the student’s development and academic progress.

For students incoming to grades 2-8, the Admissions Visit is in two parts. The first visit involves an opportunity for the student to meet the classroom teacher and see the classroom. This short after school visit also allows the teacher to get to know the student, their strengths, and areas for growth. This is accomplished through conversations and an academic assessment. The assessment visit usually takes about 45 minutes. The second part of the visit is an exciting full day opportunity for the student to spend the day in the classroom in order to experience life as an Ashbrook student.

After the prospective student spends time at Ashbrook and all necessary assessment data has been collected (including teacher recommendations from the student’s current school), the Admissions Team will review the information to determine if the prospective student is a good fit for Ashbrook. The Admissions Team will then make a recommendation. If enrollment is offered, an invitation to enroll is extended via parent email with instructions for online enrollment completion.
