After School Program Teacher Job Description

Starting in the 26-27 school year, the After School Program Lead Teacher will be an enthusiastic, caring, and creative team member of the After School Program team that that includes the Lower School Group of students in 1st-4th grade. The After School Lead teacher will promote the School’s Mission and function under the direction of the Head of School as a contributing member of the overall school community.

Ashbrook Independent School is seeking an enthusiastic, caring, and creative Science Teacher to teach in the Middle School that serves 6th through 8th grade students for a long term substitute position in the 26-27 school year, September-December.

Substitute Teacher Pool:

  • Deliver instruction to students as designed by the classroom teacher’s lesson plans. Develop or create lessons based on curriculum materials when needed.
  • Maintain a positive and caring classroom environment favorable to learning; Supervise and ensure the safety and health of children in the classroom.
  • Collaborate with staff throughout the school.
  • Communicate proactively and positively with parents as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
