Financial Aid
Qualification for Financial Assistance
At Ashbrook Independent School, we believe that finances should never stand in the way of an extraordinary education. Our goal is to make a high-quality, values-driven education accessible to as many families as possible. To support this commitment, Ashbrook offers need-based financial assistance. Aid is awarded solely on the basis of demonstrated financial need, as determined by the FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment Service.
All financial aid applications and awards are handled confidentially through FACTS, a trusted third-party provider that partners with schools nationwide to evaluate applications fairly and consistently. There is a non-refundable $40 application fee to apply for financial assistance.
How to Apply
Families who wish to be considered for financial aid must complete the online FACTS application and upload all required supporting documentation. Applications cannot be reviewed until all materials have been submitted. Once completed, FACTS will analyze the information and provide a financial profile to Ashbrook’s financial aid committee, which then makes the final award decisions..
Required Documentation
To complete your application, you will need to provide:
-
Federal Tax Return (including all supporting schedules). If parents file separately, both tax returns are required.
-
W-2 Wage and Tax Statements for both parents/guardians. If applying before W-2s are available, they must be submitted as soon as possible.
-
Supporting tax documents if you have income from a business, farm, rental property, partnership, S-corporation, or trust (e.g., Schedule C, E, F, K-1, Form 1120S, Form 1041, etc.)
-
Documentation for non-taxable income, if applicable. This may include Social Security, child support, welfare, food stamps, workers’ compensation, or TANF.
All uploaded documents are processed securely. FACTS images and destroys physical copies, ensuring your information remains private. Families may log in to their FACTS account to check the status of their application. Processing typically takes about two weeks, so we recommend applying early.
Award Decisions
Please note that while FACTS provides a comprehensive financial profile, all award decisions are ultimately made by Ashbrook Independent School. Our financial aid program is designed to ensure that qualified students have the opportunity to thrive in our academic community, regardless of financial circumstances.
