Drawing II

Drawing II – This is the second drawing class in a series for novice and expert artists alike.  In this class students will learn to draw realistically, rather than symbolically. The elements of shape, value, and form will be emphasized through fun projects that range from highly technical to highly creative.  In addition to compressed charcoal, we will also work with vine charcoal, cante crayon, and grease pencil.  The term will end with students synthesizing the skills they have learned from the class to create a realistic portrait of a subject (self, family, friend, pet, etc.) from a photograph.
